Rajahs pretty green eyes
Eyes of an angel. Attitude of spite | Chief Inspector of Standards

Lets be clear. Rajah is not staff. But he reports his grievances to management nonetheless and takes no other responsibility.

Rajah does not do anything without evaluating it first. A new toy is regarded from a distance before it earns a paw. A treat is sniffed, reconsidered, sniffed again. He carries himself with the quiet, narrow-eyed authority of a building inspector who has seen some things and is not easily impressed.

This reputation survives almost entirely because most people never see him with the fairy wings on.

The Fostering Incident

Rajah arrived as a foster. This was, by design, meant to be temporary — a waypoint, a stepping stone, an arrangement with an exit clause. Then Tatsu happened. The two were, from nearly the first meeting, inseparable in the specific way that suggests neither one remembers what life was like before the other. Rajah did not go anywhere. He became, officially and on paper, a permanent resident — the farm's first foster fail, and one nobody regrets.

He still follows his big brother everywhere. It is widely agreed that Rajah's inspector persona softens considerably in Tatsu's company, revealing something closer to an actual goofball who occasionally forgets to be dignified.

The Water Bowl Controversy

Rajah has access to fresh water at all times. He drinks from the toilet anyway, standing up on the rim with the total confidence of someone who has never once questioned this decision. When asked, he offers no explanation. There is no belief that one exists.

Ongoing Investigation: The Plants

Chaos Munky (mom) maintains a collection of plants she is fond of. Rajah has identified this fondness as significant and has made it his business to test, personally and repeatedly, exactly how fond. Every plant she has ever expressed a preference for has, at some point, ended up in his mouth. This is believed not to be a coincidence. For this reason, Rajah is no longer permitted in the office, where the most prized specimens are kept under what can only be described as protective custody.

Field Notes

Outdoors, in the harness, Rajah becomes a different animal entirely — nose deep in the grass, tasting everything, moving like someone conducting a very thorough audit of the yard. He has, on at least one occasion, been made to wear fairy wings. He did not enjoy this. He also did not take them off.

"He's very serious." — everyone, right before showing them the toilet photo
